About Us

Jay Jordan (Lead Vocals)

  • Name: Jay Jordan
  • Hometown: Somewhere in Mississippi

  • Music Background: My mom and dad had a guitar in their closet if that counts. I can’t really explain why I got into guitar. Some things resonate with a person and guitar does that for me.

  • Musical Influence: Early influences were Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Scorpions. But it has grown over time and changed to bands like The Offspring, Foo Fighters, and My Chemical Romance.  Favorite Songs: "Semi-Charmed Kind of Life" by Third Eye Blind has always struck a chord in me. "Cough Syrup" by Young the Giant also gets honorable mention!

  • Favorite Bands: It changes all the time, so I'll need to update this on occasion. Today, I'll say Artic Monkeys

  • Favorite Quotes: “Can’t be king of the world if you’re slave to the grind.”

Zach Dean (Lead Vocals)

  • Name: Zach Dean
  • Hometown:  Born in California, but the south is my home. I grew up in Ringgold, which is a small town in northwest Georgia.

  • Music Background:  I grew up around music as my mom was a singing-waitress at the Chattanooga Choo Choo and later had her own cover band that would practice in our living room. I did a little signing in choir during elementary school, then went on to play trumpet in symphonic and marching band from 6th grade until I graduated college. Some of the most memorable music experiences came from my time in marching with the Pride of the Southland band at the University of Tennessee - Go Vols!

The boys of Brother Theresa found me at a company Christmas party singing karaoke, and the rest is history.

  • Favorite Bands:  Say Anything, Circa Survive, Bayside, The Front Bottoms, Dance Gavin Dance, Kid Cudi, Tenacious D, and whatever the band needs me to learn (of course).

Sam Register (Drums)

  • Name:  Sam Register
  • Hometown:  Madison, Alabama

  • Music Background:  Big bro got a drum set when I was 10 and I have never stopped making noise since.  Joined the band program in middle school and played snare drum in the marching band through high school.  Had a myriad of garage bands in between and could never pick an instrument (bass/guitar/drums).  Now that I'm in Nashville, I'll never claim myself a guitarist but I can keep a solid pocket on the drums.

  • Musical Influence:  Yes.  Wide range that really only excludes elementary school recorder ensembles.

  • Favorite Band:  If I have to choose one its James Brown

  • Favorite Quote:  "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are"

Eric Gaudette (Lead Guitar)

  • Name:  Eric Gaudette
  • Hometown:  Boston, Mass

  • Hobbies include the cougar exhibit at the Nashville Zoo

Travis Bartow (Fiddle)

  • Name:  Travis Bartow
  • Hometown:  Hadley, New York

  • Music Background:  Travis Bartow started his musical journey at the age of nine when his father taught him to play guitar. At age 13, Travis took interest in the fiddle where he learned from country artist and musician Randy Rollman.

  • He later took classical lessons from Jill Levy, concert master of the Albany Symphony in NY. Travis has been featured in venues from Mechanic’s Hall in Worcester, MA to The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville TN with his award-winning acoustic trio “Neshama.”  He has recorded with artists and producers such as Jeff Bates and Grammy award winning artist Randy Kohrs.

  • Travis now resides in Millersville, TN with his wife and two sons. Travis continues to play professionally for his church, his trio and recently, Country/Rock band “Brother Theresa.”

Shaun Alexander (Bass)

  • Name:  Shaun Alexander
  • Hometown:  Paris of the Plains: Kansas City, Missouri

  • Music Background: I started playing fiddle as my first instrument in elementary school.  I eventually moved on to guitar and finally picked up a bass in college and never looked back.

  • Musical Influence:  I'm an 80s and 90s kid, so I definitely was influenced by new wave, hair bands, and 90s grunge.  Stylistic influences would be Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), Andy Rourke (The Smiths), Chris Squire (Yes!), Kevin Baird (Two Door Cinema Club)

  • Favorite Songs: This changes all the time, but the murder trilogy by the Killers is always a favorite.

  • Favorite Bands:  A few from various genres:  The Killers, Tyler Childers, Coldplay, G&R

  • Favorite Quote:  "Save some face, you know you've only got one"
